UPDATE: 911 SERVICES FULLY RESTORED

Please be advised that the 911 emergency dispatch system is back online and fully operational for our area.

If you experience an emergency, you can now dial 911 as usual to reach Police, Fire, and EMS.

🚨 Urgent Notice 🚨

911 is currently down across the province. We do not have full time staff located at the Fire Hall. If you have an emergency during the outage in the Cypress River area, please try calling 911 first. If there is no response, call Chief Wes Wytinck at (204) 526-7570.
There is protocol in place to deal with an emergency.

☀️ Extreme heat is expected today, and temperatures could challenge local records.
Whether you're working outdoors, spending the day at the lake, enjoying local parks, or tackling projects around the yard, take a few extra precautions to protect yourself from the heat.

💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
🌳 Take regular breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
🧢 Wear lightweight, breathable clothing and sunscreen.
🐾 Make sure pets have fresh water and a cool place to rest.
❤️ Check in on older adults, young children, neighbours, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

When temperatures rise, taking time to cool down isn't a luxury. It's part of staying safe. Enjoy the sunshine, but don't underestimate the heat. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and have a safe day!

If you have been thinking of getting tickets, today is the day!!

There are only a few tickets left to get in on these amazing prize packages. Each prize is valued at $1500-$1700.
Find last minute tickets in Cypress River at Patterson Grain, Cypress Cycle & Ag, Cypress River Foods, Pembina Co-op, Cypress River Meats/Porkies Roadhouse and the Post Office and in Holland at Patterson Grain, Drummond’s and Sunrise Credit Union or contact any firefighter.

The Cypress River Fire Department has been awarded $3,500 to purchase a new set of turnout gear.
Consisting of a jacket and pants, turnout gear serves as a firefighter’s first line of defense in emergency response situations.
