In just a few short weeks, Mike Hamson will take on one of Halifax's toughest endurance challenges.

From the Halifax Ferry Terminal to the top of Citadel Hill—and back again—Mike will repeat the route for an entire day, pushing through fatigue, darkness, changing weather, and countless climbs to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax.

Every step helps create more opportunities for young people to build confidence, belonging, and brighter futures through mentorship.

💥 From noon cannon to noon cannon.

On September 11, Mike Hamson will take on an incredible challenge: climbing from the Halifax Ferry Terminal to the top of Citadel Hill for 24 straight hours.

Starting with the firing of the noon cannon and finishing when it fires again the next day, Mike will cover more than 100 kilometres and over 4,500 metres of elevation—all to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax.

Every step represents the power of mentorship and the impact our community can have when we come together for local young people.

Follow along as we count down to Climb for a Cause, cheer Mike on, and help us reach our fundraising goal.
