The Downtown Dartmouth Fall Food Crawl is a just one week from on Thursday, October 22 from 5:30-8pm (or sell-out). Swipe for the participating businesses!

Join us downtown for a self-guided, walking food sampling tour that showcases some of downtown Dartmouth’s fabulous businesses.

The map and offers will be posted soon & printed maps will be available at participating businesses next week.

🎃🧹PICK OR SWEEP COMMUNITY CLEAN UP🧹🎃

This year, we’re hosting a Halloween Themed Clean Up! Join us on Thursday, October 29th starting at 10am. Costumes are encouraged!!

Join us at 207 Portland Street (Tim Horton’s parking lot) so we can hand out equipment. Treats and refreshments will be provided to volunteers after the clean-up.

RSVP to [email protected] and let us know how many people are in your group so we have enough supplies available.

🍂🤗HAPPY THANKSGIVING🤗🍂

It’s Thanksgiving weekend and a fantastic opportunity to show some gratitude for our special community.

Downtown Dartmouth is filled with so many amazing restaurants, cafes, shops, salons, other incredible businesses, parks and public art. They are the backbones and heart of our streets and we are so thankful for them.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! Show some love to our amazing businesses this weekend (and check for any holiday hours online!).

🚧ACCESSING ALDERNEY FERRY TERMINAL, DARTMOUTH FERRY TERMINAL PARK, AND NATURE FOLK🚧

We are so fortunate to have the ferry as a transit option to connect us so seamlessly to Downtown Halifax, and having a wonderful green space right on the waterfront. Right now they are a little tough to navigate but they are both OPEN (so is Nature Folk)!

A heads up to commuters & park goers: the stairs from Alderney down to the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal and Park are CLOSED.

To access the ferry: head to the Alderney Gate entrance (60 Alderney), go up the escalator/stairs/elevator, cross the pedway, go down the stairs/elevator, and catch the ferry.

Follow the same steps the get to Ferry Terminal Park but continue past the ferry loading zone and exit the doors to the waterfront and park.

Nature Folk is still accessible via the ramp, however you can also approach it by using the Dartmouth Harbourfront Trail. Enter the trail from Alderney Drive by the Daffodil Garden for Cancer Survivors (100 Alderney Drive).

We will post an update when the stairs and ramp are open again but for now, it is a good idea to give yourself a bit of extra time when heading to the ferry or park.

🎉🌟NOCTURNE IN DOWNTOWN DARTMOUTH🌟🎉

Nocturne is around the corner!! This year’s theme is Embodied Cities. There will be lots of projects all around Downtown Dartmouth and they will be activated on Saturday, October 17th from 6pm-12am.

The Nowadays Festival presented by North Brewing is back from October 8-10 bringing great shows to venues across Downtown Dartmouth.

The Nowadays Festival provides three days of top-tier entertainment to celebrate music and culture. Enjoy Cass McCombs, Bells Larsen, Ada Lea, Cootie Catcher, Bill Ricky and many more performances.

💥🎨 MURAL JAM 2026🎨💥

Dartmouth Mural Jam 2026 was a blast this weekend thanks to a partnership with HALIFAX MURAL FESTIVAL and Trackside Studios!

Weather wasn’t completely on our side, so some murals will continue to be worked on when the weather allows.

But check out this progress! We are so excited to have some new public art in downtown Dartmouth!
