Want to learn about ways to help protect your home from flooding? Stop by the Dauphin Fire Station on Monday, October 5, for a come-and-go flood mitigation open house hosted by Manitoba Emergency Management Organization and the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction.

See working displays of sump pumps, backwater valves and other equipment, and learn about their installation, operation and maintenance.

Eligible voters who are unable to vote in person on Election Day or during advance voting may apply to vote by sealed envelope. 🗳️

Beginning today, in-person applications can be completed at City Hall, 100 Main Street South, during regular office hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Applications will be accepted until October 25, 2026, and completed ballots must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on October 28, 2026.

Public Works is tackling crack sealing and pothole repairs throughout the rest of the week! 🚧

Drivers may encounter slow-moving equipment and workers on the road while this work is underway. Please slow down, use caution when approaching a work area, and give them plenty of room to work safely.

Crack sealing helps keep water out of the pavement and prevent further deterioration, while pothole patching addresses areas where the pavement has already broken down!

🧡 September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

The day honours Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and the families and communities who continue to carry the impacts of the residential school system.

As September 30 approaches, we encourage our community to take time to learn about this history, reflect on its lasting impacts, and consider what reconciliation means in our community and across Canada.

All City of Dauphin facilities will be closed on Wednesday, September 30 in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Heads up, Day 1 and Day 2! Waste and recycling collection will take place one day earlier than usual next week due to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday, September 30.

If you're in those areas, be sure to have your bins ready for collection by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day!

On October 28, eligible voters who live in the City of Dauphin will vote for Mountain View School Division’s Ward 4 candidates. Four trustees will be elected from that ward.

An election will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 to elect trustees from the following nominated candidates for MVSD, listed in random order as they will appear on the ballots:

From September 21–27, the City of Dauphin is recognizing International Week of Deaf People by lighting up City Hall and the Watson Art Centre in blue.

This week is an opportunity to celebrate the Deaf community, raise awareness, and promote inclusion and accessibility for everyone.
