A big thank you to our Public Works summer students and seasonal labourers!

It was a busy summer in Dauphin, with plenty of construction, maintenance, and improvements happening throughout the city. Our summer and seasonal crew jumped right in and worked hard alongside our Public Works team to help keep everything moving.

We’re grateful for all the hard work, time, and effort they put in throughout the season.

Thank you for being part of the City of Dauphin team, and we wish you all the best in whatever comes next!

A little effort can make a big difference. ♻️

Before tossing something in the garbage, take a second to check if it can be recycled. And remember, recyclables should be clean and empty before they go in your blue bin. Small changes like rinsing out containers and sorting items correctly help keep more recyclable material out of the landfill.

Not sure what belongs in your recycling? Check the full list of accepted materials here:https://www.osswastedisposal.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/List-of-Acceptable-Recycle-Materials-MB.pdf

Tomorrow, August 25, the City is starting construction of drainage infrastructure between Super 8 and Petro Canada.

During construction, the service road between the Super 8/McDonald’s driveway and the Petro Canada driveway will be closed to traffic. Both driveways will remain open, so all three businesses will continue to be accessible.

The work is expected to take two days, Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26.

Please use caution in the area, watch for workers and equipment, and follow all posted signage.

Thank you for your patience while this work is completed!

One bottle might not seem like much, but it adds up. ♻️

Every item we choose to recycle instead of throw away makes a difference. When we all make that small choice, the impact gets a whole lot bigger.

Small choice. Big difference. Keep recycling, Dauphin.

The City of Dauphin is advising residents that construction of the Craft District Initiative on 2nd Avenue NW will be rescheduled to the 2027 construction season.

This summer's significant flooding has had a considerable impact across our community and region, creating additional demands on municipal resources and affecting contractor availability and construction schedules.

In light of these circumstances, the City has determined that rescheduling construction of the Craft District to 2027 is the most practical approach. This will allow the City to focus its resources and attention on flood recovery, infrastructure needs, and other priority work during the remainder of the 2026 construction season.

The Craft District remains an important part of the City's long-term vision for downtown revitalization. The project will renew infrastructure along 2nd Avenue NW while improving accessibility, pedestrian safety, lighting, landscaping, and the overall downtown experience for businesses, residents, and visitors.

We recognize the significant impact this summer's flooding has had on our community. Adjusting the construction schedule allows the City to respond to the priorities of today while continuing to plan and invest in Dauphin's future.

Additional information will be shared as planning for the 2027 construction season progresses.
