Update: Owner found.

Hello,

A black dog was collected on near Queen Street and Second Avenue. Municipal Enforcement was unable to identify the owner of this dog as the dog did not have a dog tag at the time of pick-up. This dog will be in the care of Municipal Enforcement from the date the dog was impounded. The dog was also accompanied by another small brown dog which was unable to be collected.

If you recognize this dog or would like to report a lost dog, please call City at 993-7400 between 9am. and 5 p.m Monday to Friday or email [email protected].

Residents are reminded that dog tags are a great tool to help the Municipal Enforcement department connect a lost dog with its proper owners.

Animal Tags are available from the City and can be purchased at 1336 Front Street.

A female dog with a pink collar and no tag was collected on near Queen Street and Second Avenue. NOT the dog involved in the dog attack incident.

A male black and white Husky Mix dog with an orange collar and no tag was collected on the North Klondike Highway by the Dredgepond Subdivision after a reports of the dog running on the highway, today, January 19. Municipal Enforcement was unable to identify the owner of this dog as the dog did not have a dog tag at the time of pick-up. This dog will be in the care of Municipal Enforcement from the date the dog was impounded.
