*ATTENTION* In regards to the Tuesday, October 1st, Committee of the Whole Meeting CW24-09, that is scheduled in the Dawson City Council Calendar (see attached photo of the remaining 2024 Meeting Schedule, adopted by Council resolution):
Some residents have reached out to me over the last few days asking, "Where is the agenda for the October 1st Dawson City Committee of the Whole Meeting?" Unfortunately, I do not know! I have inquired with City Administration about this, and will post an update as soon as I find out. Thanks for your patience.
At this point it is likely safe to assume that there will be no meeting this Tuesday (tomorrow), because, at minimum, an agenda must be shared with members of Council and the Public not less than 24 hours before any Regular, Special or Committee Meeting. This rule is in accordance with the City's Proceedings Bylaw (Section 9).
(If a meeting gets cancelled due to an understanding that there will be lack of quorum, it is automatically rescheduled to the next day, which would be WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2nd. Please note I am not aware of the reason for the cancellation at this point.)
Thanks again for you patience. I will keep you posted about when this meeting will be rescheduled ASAP.
** Please note that Facebook is not necessarily monitored by Council or the City, and public policy and decision-making is not done over Facebook. Please send the City your emails and your letters, and please attend one of our meetings as a delegate or a member of the public! **
