đźš’ New Fire Engine Welcomed with Traditional Push-In Ceremony đźš’
The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) and the City of Dawson Creek proudly welcomed a new all-wheel drive fire engine today at the Dawson Creek Fire Hall.
As part of a longstanding fire service tradition, firefighters carried out the ceremonial “push-in,” working together to manually guide the new truck into the hall for the first time.
Designed specifically for rural firefighting operations, this upgraded all-wheel drive unit will allow crews to safely reach harder-to-access areas and strengthen emergency response throughout the region. Firefighters have also completed dedicated training to ensure they are fully prepared to operate the new equipment.
Through the Dawson Creek–Pouce Coupe Rural Fire Protection service agreement, and in collaboration with the Peace River Regional District, this investment enhances protection for residents both within city limits and across surrounding rural areas.
We are proud of this continued partnership and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
