🌟🌿 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🌿🌟
Thanks to our amazing community, we’ve already received over $2575 toward our Better at Home fundraising goal!
A heartfelt thank you to our generous donors:
💛 Portavia
💛 Swing Cafe with the Mile Zero Jitter Bugs
💛 Kalipi South Peace Filipino Canadian Association (Gregg Apolonio)
💛 Donations from Better at Home movie event
💛 Chef Trio’s Kitchen
💛 LMV Energy Services
💛Murphy Oil Field
Your support is already making a meaningful difference for local seniors.
We’re working to raise $3,000–$5,000 to provide yard work for 12 seniors in our community — helping them stay safe, independent, and proud of their homes. 💚🏡
For many seniors, a well‑kept yard isn’t just about appearance. It prevents falls, supports mobility, and brings comfort and dignity. Your generosity helps make that possible.
✨ Your support = safer homes + happier seniors
✨ Every dollar goes directly to helping elders in our area

🌟 Better at Home has a NEW program! 🌟
The Dawson Creek Better at Home Program is excited to introduce a brand‑new service designed to help seniors access recreational opportunities in our community. We are now offering digital punch cards for low‑income seniors, giving them affordable access to a wide range of recreational areas and programs — including the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre, Kin Arena Sports Floor, Memorial Arena, and all drop‑in sessions.
Needing access to the hot tub, sauna, or steam room at the pool? No problem. With the Better at Home digital punch card, seniors no longer need to choose between enjoying the pool and saving money. This program makes wellness, activity, and connection more accessible than ever.
These punch cards are free for low‑income seniors who qualify through Better at Home. To sign up, seniors will need to:
• Be a Better at Home or Community Connector client
• Live in Dawson Creek
• Provide their most recent Notice of Assessment
• Meet low‑income requirements
• Be 65 years of age or older
• Give consent for the Better at Home team to connect with Dawson Creek Recreation staff
For more information, please see the graphic below.
Have questions? Contact the Better at Home office at 250‑782‑2341 or visit us in person at the Dawson Creek Co‑op Mall.
