Tonight, Laurentian Hills firefighters hit the training ground to sharpen their rural water supply skills.

Training like this gives our firefighters valuable hands on time with the equipment, apparatus, and techniques we rely on during emergency operations.

Always a great night when we get outside, flow some water, and work together as a team. Great job by everyone who came out tonight! 🚒💦🔥

Thank you to the School House Museum for inviting the Laurentian Hills Fire Department to take part in today’s Cowpaddy Bingo and Fun Day!

We had a great time being part of the event and connecting with members of our community.

🚒 Training Night 🚒

Laurentian Hills Fire Department firefighters put their skills to the test this evening, working through tight spaces and challenging corners while operating in full gear.

Tonight also gave our firefighters the opportunity to complete their training on our new MSA G1 SCBA packs. Training nights like this help our members become familiar and confident with new equipment while practicing the skills needed to operate safely and effectively in challenging environments

We are proud to recognize and congratulate Captain Tanner Fleury on his promotion to Acting Deputy Chief of the Town of Laurentian Hills Fire Department.

Tanner has dedicated many years of service to our department, consistently demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a strong commitment to serving our community. Through his hard work, experience, and willingness to support those around him, he has earned the respect of both his fellow firefighters and the community we proudly serve.

Tanner brings a wealth of knowledge, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for the fire service. His leadership will play an important role in continuing to strengthen our department, mentoring our members, and helping guide us into the future.

The Laurentian Hills Fire Department would like to recognize and congratulate Fire Chief Kevin Waito on his retirement after more than 44 years of dedicated service.

Kevin began his fire service career in January 1982. Over the decades, he has witnessed significant change within the fire service, our department, and our municipality. Through it all, his commitment to serving the community remained constant.

Countless emergency calls. Late nights and early mornings. Major incidents, difficult days, and proud moments. Kevin has dedicated a significant part of his life to protecting the residents of Laurentian Hills and supporting the firefighters who served alongside him.

Throughout his career, Kevin has responded when our community needed help, provided leadership during challenging situations, and helped guide the department through decades of growth and change. His years of knowledge, experience, and service have left a lasting impact on the Laurentian Hills Fire Department.

Chief Waito will be greatly missed around the fire halls, but his contributions and decades of service will not be forgotten.

On behalf of the members of the Laurentian Hills Fire Department, thank you, Chief Waito, for your dedication, leadership, and more than four decades of service to our municipality and its residents.

Congratulations on your retirement, Chief. We wish you all the best in this next chapter.

After nearly 30 years of dedicated service, the Laurentian Hills Fire Department is proud to recognize the retirement of Captain Owen Stewart.

Owen began his fire service journey with our department in September 1996. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated professionalism, commitment, and a strong sense of duty to the residents of Laurentian Hills. Whether responding to emergencies during the day or in the middle of the night, Owen has always been ready to serve when our community needed him.

Beyond responding to calls, Owen has been a valued mentor to many firefighters, sharing his knowledge and experience while helping develop the next generation of members. His leadership, dependability, and dedication have left a lasting impact on our department.

On behalf of the Laurentian Hills Fire Department, the Town of Laurentian Hills, and the community we proudly serve, we extend our sincere thanks to Owen for his many years of service and commitment.
