Thank you to everyone who made our Back to School BBQ such a huge success!

From the amazing community organizations and scavenger hunt goodies, to the delicious cookies provided by the Delburne School Council and the fantastic supper served by the DCS staff—we could not have asked for a better start to the year.

We are so excited to welcome our students back for another fantastic year on Monday, August 31st! The doors open at 8:25 a.m.

Our students have been busy mastering the kitchen and learning the art of sewing. The creativity and fun were off the charts!

We are so proud of our hard-working participants, and we’re already counting down the days until we see everyone again.

Happy Retirement, Mrs. Dudar!

After 37 years of dedication to education, we are wishing a fond farewell to Mrs. Pam Dudar. Mrs. Dudar joined the Delburne School family in the fall of 2020, and over the past six years, she has been a vital pillar of our community. Whether teaching Kindergarten, Grade 3, or serving in Learning Support, Mrs. Dudar’s commitment to student success has been very inspiring.

Mrs. Dudar’s journey in education began in 1989 in Manitoba. Her path led her to Alberta, where she spent four years in Spruce View and 17 years at Poplar Ridge before sharing her expertise as a Student Services Coordinator at the Chinook’s Edge Division Office. Throughout her career, Mrs. Dudar’s heart has always been rooted in inclusive education and literacy.

While she is retiring from full-time teaching, Mrs. Dudar is not slowing down. She looks forward to traveling, spending time on her acreage, and enjoying quality time with her husband, children, and out-of-province family. You might also spot her back in our halls occasionally, as she plans to return as a substitute teacher!

Thank you, Mrs. Dudar, for your passion, your kindness, and your lifelong commitment to our students. We wish you the very best in this exciting new chapter!

What a wonderful way to celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day! Our K-6 students loved learning about the 7 Sacred Teachings, listening to an inspiring story about courage, and enjoying fresh bannock made over the fire. 🧡🔥
