Come out on Saturday, June 6th to enjoy 30+ Senior-Friendly vendors, Food Samples, the Farmer's Market, and prizes and draws!

The event will run from
10 a.m. - 3pm.

We at Deltassist would like to celebrate Senior's Week and to also acknowledge World Elder Abuse Awareness Day by hosting a social event for seniors in our community!

It will be a great opportunity to meet other people, have some fun and enjoy some treats!

We're looking for a:

• Handyperson - Part-Time and On-Call (Contract)

The Handyperson will work with the Operations Manager to ensure that all buildings and equipment meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies.

The Handyperson will also be responsible for material disposal, building repairs and maintenance, and yard work pertaining to the outside of our facilities.

There's only 6 days until the IG Wealth Management Walk For Alzheimer's 2026!

Deltassist will be there on May 31st to show our support!

The event will be a 5km walk!

Where: Delta Secondary School Sports Track
4615 51 St, Delta B.C. V4K 2V8

When: May 31st, 2026 at 9:30 A.M.

The walk will begin at 10 A.M.

No pets are allowed on the track or in-field.

Funds raised at the Walk will go towards providing programs and services for families going through dementia and enable research into the disease.

May 5th is Red Dress Day, also known as National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S).

Today we recognize the systemic violence and abuse that continues to disproportionately affect Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people in our nation to this day.

Red Dress Day came to be through Métis artist, Jaime Black's REDress Project art installation depicting empty red dresses to represent the lives lost.

We would like to stand in solidarity with the families and Indigenous communities in honouring the lives of those taken away from us, and show remembrance to their memories and the lives they left behind.
