Genesis Theatre in Ladner will hold its annual appreciation event on June 26th to acknowledge its valued volunteers, clients, colleagues, and the community for their support over the past year.
The concert’s first set will showcase our very own talented Delta Secondary Teacher Band, while the second set will feature Top Line Vocal Collective, a Vancouver-based premier pop choir. The choir is led by Juno-nominated artist and producer Warren Dean Flandez, and performs varied genres including pop, R&B, rock, reggae, and soul.

Tickets are specially priced at $15 and available at https://genesis-theatre.tickit.ca/

The concert is scheduled for Friday, June 26th, 7 pm at Genesis Theatre, 5005 45th Avenue, Ladner. The goal of Genesis Theatre, which is operated by Delta School District, is to inspire the community with accessible experiences that celebrate imagination, diversity, and connection.

Tomorrow, Delta’s Indigenous Grade 12 students will take part in a meaningful canoe journey, in partnership with Coquitlam School District, where students and staff will travel together in a canoe from Deas Island to Wellington Point Park. Participants will spend time on the water in the district’s canoe, Wave Warrior, and in the longhouse, engaging in cultural learning and connection. The day centres on teamwork, respect and honouring traditions, with a special focus on celebrating and uplifting Grade 12 students as they approach graduation. If you happen to see them along the way, please feel welcome to wave, cheer them on, and help celebrate their journey!
