Jim L, Stan H, Glenn G and Andy G installed a King's Town Trekkers funded bench at the Rideau Waterway Land Trust (RWLT) Red Rock Reserve on Big Rideau North Shore Rd at Waypoint 08F. Also in the photo are Sara Warren-Roberts (RWLT Executive Director) and Peter Hannah (RWLT Board Director). All members are encouraged to check out Red Rock's short blue trail and this bench with its excellent view of Big Rideau Lake.

Unanimous support for the G2G Pedestrian Bridge!

With a 14–0 vote, Region of Waterloo Council approved EES-DCS-26-001 for the G2G Pedestrian Bridge over the Conestoga River in Wallenstein.
Thank you to the Region of Waterloo, Ontario Conservation Accelerator, and everyone working together to bring this vision to life.

Check Out The Dogsleds, Kids Activities and Outdoor Fun on Family Day in Brockville!

Area residents and visitors alike are invited to join the Friends of Johnson WildLife Area for their annual Family Day Winter Festival, which takes place on the property Monday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. As in past years, the event features lots of family-friendly activities including a snow village, photo booth, snowshoeing, campfire treats, scavenger hunt, canteen and much more.

The Mush LaRose Dog Sled teams are back and always a highlight of the day. Admission is by donation.

Schedule:
• 10a.m.-2p.m. - Kids Zone
• 11a.m.-1p.m. - Dogsled Races
• 11a.m.-1p.m. - Campfire
• 10a.m.-1p.m. - Canteen (chili, hot dogs, sausages and drinks)

Have you checked out the newly maintained Winter Walking Trail in Paris Lions Park (60 Laurel Street, Paris)? ❄️

This looping asphalt path will be plowed and salted throughout the season to provide a safe, walkable space for outdoor recreation.

The trail winds through the playground area, along the Nith River, around the baseball diamonds, and back to the playground. Parking is available on-site.
