Get ready, Raptors! Tomorrow is officially the first day of the 2026–2027 school year at Robina Baker Elementary School for Grades 1–4! 🎒✨

We can't wait to see all of your smiling faces back in the classrooms. Here is a quick reminder of the key details to help your morning go smoothly:

First Day Details (Grades 1–4):

First Day: Thursday, August 27, 2026

Morning Supervision: Outside supervision begins at 8:20 AM. Please avoid arriving earlier.

Warning Bell: 8:25 AM

Instruction Starts: 8:35 AM

Dismissal: 3:00 PM

Arrival: All students enter through the front doors on Day 1—staff will be on hand to guide everyone to their classrooms!

Kindergarten & EIPK Families:

Kindergarten: Staggered entry begins tomorrow (Aug 27 & 28). Check your teacher's message for your child's specific entry time!

EIPK: Mrs. Gerard will reach out directly regarding your orientation details.

Don't forget to report any first-day absences via SafeArrival.

Huge Thanks to the Devon Lions Club!
Yesterday was an incredibly special day at our school! We were absolutely blessed to welcome volunteers from the Devon Lions Club into our classrooms for a wonderful time of reading.

It was extra heartwarming to see some familiar faces, including some of our beloved retired staff members, back in the halls sharing their love of literacy with our students!

As if the gift of storytime wasn't enough, the Lions Club also:

Brought Canadian flags for our Grade 2 classrooms to spark some civic pride.

Generously presented us with a $200 cheque dedicated to growing our school library!

We are incredibly grateful for the Devon Lions Club's ongoing dedication to our students, our literacy programs, and our community. Thank you for investing in the next generation of readers!
