The Ontario government is accepting applications for the Excellence in Agriculture Awards, and Middlesex County's agri-food businesses should be on that list.
The awards from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness recognize the people and businesses driving Ontario's $53 billion agriculture and food sector. Categories include agribusiness excellence, research and innovation, promotional excellence, women's farming excellence, youth excellence (28 and under), and farm family excellence.
Who can apply or be nominated:
🌱 Primary producers with a valid Farm Business Registration Number
🏭 Canadian-owned processors operating in Ontario
💡 Agriculture and food innovators, organizations, and educational institutions
Middlesex County is home to some of the most productive farmland and agri-food operations in southwestern Ontario. If that's your business, this is your recognition to claim.
