Township Humanities brings university scholarship into our rural public libraries through accessible, professor-led lectures and discussions. Each session is offered by a different humanities or social sciences professor and centered around a short text, which attendees can pick up at the library beforehand. Come to one session or several - explore new ideas and texts in community. Help define what humanities scholarship in 2026 is for!

For anybody who has ever had questions or frustrations while using their laptop, phone or tablet: we are running another three-part Digital Skills Workshop here at the library with Peterborough Native Learning Program this September. These supportive workshops are designed to move at the learner's pace and cover topics like: accessing device settings, accessing email, recognizing scams, and protecting yourself while using the internet. Tuesdays, Sept 1, 8, 15 from 1:30-3:30PM. Please call or email the library to register.
