🧡 Students had the opportunity to take part in a meaningful First Peoples' Teachings at Eagle Point Blue Rapids. Through storytelling, learning, outdoor activities, and cultural connection, students explored Indigenous and Metis perspectives and traditions.

It was an incredible experience to see youth learning, asking questions, and building deeper connections to the history and culture of our region.

A huge THANK Pembina Pipeline Corporation for supporting the day and generously providing and BBQing lunch for the students and volunteers. Your support helped make this experience even more special for everyone involved.

We’re grateful to all of the educators, volunteers, presenters, and community partners who helped bring this important day to life.

🌎🐦 What an incredible day for Global Big Day at Eagle Point Blue Rapids!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for this year’s bird count — from experienced birders to first-time participants, families, photographers, and curious nature lovers. Together, we explored trails, listened for songs in the trees, scanned the skies, and contributed valuable observations to a worldwide citizen science effort.

We loved seeing the excitement of spotting everything from tiny songbirds to soaring raptors, and the amazing photos shared throughout the day were a reminder of just how special our local landscapes are. 📸✨

Events like this are about more than counting birds — they’re about slowing down, connecting with nature, learning together, and building community outdoors.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success, including our volunteers, guides, and community partners. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
