We have one last raffle prize that we received after the dance. We drew names of attendees and have awarded a nice jacket and side by side gun rack to Rylee Desautels. A big thanks to Red Lake Marine for their generous donation and sponsorship. Red Lake Marine has been serving the tourism community in the northwest for decades. Their staff are friendly, professional and will make sure you have what you need to enjoy the wilds of sunset country.

Wowser what a night

Great friends, peers and vendor representatives lit the downtown core of Waldhof up. A fantastic spread of food by Sysco, jammin’ music by Rod Armit, and a huge stack of raffle prizes donated by our allied members. It was so great to see the many faces of our tourism demographic all together, celebrating the start to another prosperous season.

Many thanks to those that helped make this evening the success it was.

So many allied members are stepping forward with their sponsorship and donations to tomorrow’s dinner and dance.

Skene transfer and Supply has also made their annual donation. Thanks to the staff at Skene.

Also a big thanks to Lake of the Woods Sports Headquarters in Kenora for their swag donation.

Woodlake Marine in Kenora has donated a Helix 5 sonar system and some other goodies for our raffle.

For those of you in the food industry, the name Sysco is a household name. Supplying resorts, restaurants and catering to our remote geographical challenges makes Sysco your number one food vendor in the northwest.

Always helping out with our annual KDCA steak dinner Sysco has stepped up again. In fact we will have a special guest from Sysco helping out at this years dinner.

Say hello to Nicole, one of the friendly sales consultants serving our area. Sysco is not only a KDCA sponsor but every year the steaks and dinner fixings are partially donated to help make our event a success.

This will also be your chance to meet Nicole in person and discuss your future needs.

Another hidden gem in the north country is “The Whiskeyjack Restaurant and Tavern” located just south of Perrault Falls on highway 105. If you have driven by and wondered what it is like on the inside you owe it to yourself to stop in and have a look. Also home to the “Electric Beavers” … you will just have to find out for yourself what that means😉

Graham and Laura have developed a fantastic menu of custom smoked brisket and turkey breast along with all the fixings to go with it. Strong on local culture and decor, this place is well known to our travelling tourists.
