Sherry Baum, CEO and Barb Kirouac, COO were delighted to attend the Global Leadership Exchange this week in Toronto and Ottawa to learn, contribute, collaborate and network.

Barb Kirouac, our COO was one of the presenters for an International group at the Match for the GLE focused on strengthening the developmental services workforce through:
> Collaboration across sector and government
> Inclusion and belonging in career pathways
> Practical strategies for recruitment and retention

Sherry Baum, CEO, participated in a Match on the intersection of disability and mental health and addictions and along with professionals from around the world visited several sites in Toronto with a focus on:

< Envisioning social, culture and systems change that upholds human rights, agency and
health equity;
< Emphasizing the meaningful engagement, involvement and leadership of people with
lived experience;
< Using deliberative dialogue to engage participants in collective problem-solving; and
< Building in opportunities for community capacity building and developing structural
competencies.

We have now joined 500 people in Ottawa from match-up groups hosted across Canada with people from around the globe to share learnings and hear plenary sessions together.

We’re excited to be joining the Dryden Public Library for the TD Summer Reading Club Launch BBQ! 📚🌞

Come out for an afternoon of fun, food, and community - and help celebrate a great summer of reading for kids and families.

It's that time of the year again! The Library will be having the TD Summer Reading Club Launch Barbecue sponsored by Dryden Fibre Canada.
Make sure you mark it in your calendar and join us on the lawn in front of City Hall.
Please note -- there will be NO food tickets this year. It will be first come first served until we run out of food. One hamburger or hot dog per person.
If you would like a veggie burger, contact the library. There will be a limited number of veggie burgers available.
