Archaeological evidence dates our existence as long ago as 4,500 years, but our historical memory says that we have been here since time immemorial. While we have evolved into a modern society, many of our cultural practices and traditions have been carried on for generations, and are still woven into our culture today.

Update on Sockeye food fish distribution to Cowichan members:

Fresh sockeye will arrive at the Koksilah Nursery approx 4:00 p.m. today, Monday September 15th.
All Cowichan members can go pick up food fish; bring your STATUS CARD, TOTE, ICE.

Location: Duncan City Square (Next to Duncan City Hall, 200 Craig Street)..Please wear white and bring your own candles.

We will be walking south on Craig Street to Allenby Road then over to the Cowichan Tribes Siem Lelum Gymnasium.
