๐Ÿ””This past weekend, we hosted an NFPA 1140 Wildland course with 17 students from across the region. Participants included members from CFB Suffield Range Control, County of Forty Mile (Bow Island Station), and the Town of Redcliff.

Regional training opportunities like this are extremely valuable, as they allow emergency responders to train together, build relationships, and better understand each otherโ€™s operations before meeting on an actual incident.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the instructors who dedicated their time, knowledge, and experience to make this training opportunity possible. Their commitment to developing responders across the region is greatly appreciated.

Weekly calls for service:
- 3 medical first responses
- 2 grass/wildland fires
- 1 motor vehicle accident
- 1 alarm bell
- 1 structure fire

๐Ÿ”” Last week was a busy one for us, with 13 emergency responses.

Despite challenging wind conditions, firefighters responded quickly, worked extremely well together, and were able to bring several challenging fires under control efficiently.

๐ŸŽฅ Case in point: A medium-sized wildfire west of Suffield.

Thanks to all of our partner agencies and community partners for their support, including HALO Air Ambulance, CFB Suffield, RCMP, Alberta Sheriffs, County of Newell Fire Services, Murray Lake, and Elkwater Colony.

Even with a large response, Cypress County was able to maintain fire apparatus throughout the county to ensure coverage remained available for any additional emergencies.

In addition to emergency response, our firefighters continue to build their skills through NFPA Driver and Pumper training, focusing on driver and pump operations.

Thank you to all responders for your dedication and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
