A big thank you to everyone who came out to our Annual Fire Prevention BBQ! We appreciate the community’s continued support and loved seeing everyone come out.

🎉 We also held a draw for 2 CO alarms in support of Henry’s Law! Congratulations to our winners! We will be getting the alarms to you soon.

📢 A reminder about Henry’s Law: By November 1, 2026, carbon monoxide (CO) alarms will be required in all multi-unit residential buildings, including apartments, condominiums, houses with secondary suites, and other buildings with multiple residential suites — regardless of when the building was originally built or last renovated.

Carbon monoxide is known as the silent killer because it has no smell, colour, or taste. Working CO alarms are an important part of keeping your family safe!

🚒 **TRAINING NIGHT!** 🚒

This past Wednesday, our firefighters got together for some hands-on training with the trucks! We worked on familiarizing ourselves with our equipment, practising our skills, and making sure we’re ready to respond when our community needs us.

A big thank-you to our dedicated volunteers for putting in the time and effort to keep our community safe!

🔥 FIRE BAN REMOVED 🔥

The Level 2 – Full Fire Ban for the Rural Municipality of Lipton No. 217 has been rescinded, effective September 1, 2026.

Residents and visitors are reminded to continue exercising caution when burning and to comply with all applicable municipal bylaws and provincial regulations.

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT – RM OF LIPTON

The Dysart Volunteer Fire Department would like to advise everyone that a fire ban is currently in effect in the RM of Lipton.

No open burning is permitted while the ban is in effect. Please help us reduce the risk by following the fire ban and avoiding any activities that could start a fire.

We ask everyone to stay vigilant, use caution, and help keep our community and surrounding areas safe.

🚒 Training Night at DVFD! 🚒

Tonight, members of the Dysart Volunteer Fire Department are out doing a training session. Regular training is an important part of being prepared to respond when our community needs us.
