A Huge Thank You to Pembina Pipeline Corporation!

Edgerton Emergency Services is thrilled to announce that we've received $25,000 in generous funding from Pembina! This incredible contribution will go directly towards the purchase of heavy rescue equipment, helping our team respond more effectively to emergencies and keep our community safe.

At approximately 9:00 AM Edgerton Emergency Services were dispatched to an explosion and fire on an oil lease north of Edgerton. Mutual aid was immediately requested from Wainwright Fire Rescue, Chauvin Fire Rescue, and CFB Wainwright Fire.

Through the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies, the fire was successfully contained to the lease site and that we are also pleased to report that there were no injuries as a result of the incident.

There is no known cause at this time.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the crews from Wainwright Fire Rescue, Chauvin Fire Rescue, CFB Wainwright, RCMP, MD of Wainwright, and Ron's Vac for their rapid response, professionalism, and outstanding teamwork. Their dedication and cooperation were instrumental in bringing this challenging incident under control safely and effectively.

These dedicated individuals have stepped up to serve their community and have already begun their training as paid-on-call firefighters. Their commitment, enthusiasm, and willingness to answer the call make a real difference, and we couldn't be happier to have them on our team.

Volunteer and paid-on-call fire departments are built on people who are willing to give their time to protect their neighbours, and we're incredibly grateful that Amber, Luke, Gauge, and Adisyn have chosen to do just that.

If you see them around town, be sure to give them a warm welcome! We look forward to watching them learn, grow, and become an important part of the Edgerton Emergency Services family.

This incredible contribution will go toward the purchase of specialized heavy rescue equipment, helping us better respond to major incidents involving industrial, agricultural, and other heavy equipment throughout our region.
The support of organizations like Encompass Community Foundation plays an important role in helping us enhance our response capabilities and continue working to keep our community and surrounding areas safe.
