As AI continues to shape the way we learn, work, and interact with the world, it brings both tremendous opportunities and important considerations. Through this initiative, we encourage students to approach AI with curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility as they discover its potential applications. As a STEM-focused school, we recognize that AI will play an increasingly significant role in our students' lives and future careers.

More students are ready for STEM Collegiate. We need the space to welcome them.

Demand for our school continues to exceed the space available. Families are looking for an education that combines academic excellence, hands-on learning and meaningful connections to the opportunities shaping Alberta’s future.

A new, purpose-built school would allow us to welcome more students, expand specialized programming and give more young people the opportunity to discover what they can achieve.

The demand is here. The potential is here. Now we need to create room for both.
Follow along as we share what a new school would make possible for our students — and for Alberta.

Meet Reachy, the newest member of STEM Collegiate.

STEM Collegiate is now home to the first humanoid robot in an Alberta school!

Our students will use Reachy to explore robotics, coding, artificial intelligence and human-robot interaction through hands-on learning with cutting-edge technology. They will be able to program, test, experiment and solve problems using a sophisticated real-world platform.

There will be plenty of serious learning ahead, but we also plan to have some fun along the way.

Reachy has already made quite the entrance. We cannot wait to see what our students build, test and discover.

At the Canada-Wide Science Fair, STEM Collegiate student Ivana Wankie was selected as the winner of a special draw on behalf of our school. As a result, STEM Collegiate has been awarded a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for our gymnasium.

This generous contribution was made possible through Project Brock, which donated the AED, and the EMS Cadets program, which is also providing AED and CPR training for 16 STEM Collegiate staff members.

A special thank you to Doug Christian and the EMS Cadets team, Project Brock, and congratulations to Ivana for helping bring this valuable resource to our school!

As Superintendent, he will provide leadership for the continued growth of STEM Collegiate and help advance the organization’s mission of preparing students for success through STEM-focused, future-ready education.

A number of our STEM Collegiate junior high athletes competed at the City Championship for Track and Field, and we are proud of the effort, focus, and sportsmanship they showed throughout the event.

A special shoutout goes to Max, who earned silver in the Senior Boys 1500m. Outstanding work, Max!

Last night, a group of our students and staff had the opportunity to attend the Junior Achievement Northern Alberta Business Hall of Fame Gala.

One of the things we value most at STEM Collegiate is connecting learning to the real world. The stories shared throughout the evening highlighted the innovation, perseverance, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit that drive success, not just in business, but in any field. It was an inspiring experience for our students and staff to hear directly from leaders who have helped shape Northern Alberta and to reflect on the opportunities that lie ahead for the next generation.

We are grateful for our partnership with JA Northern Alberta and the incredible work they do to help students build financial literacy, entrepreneurial thinking, career readiness, and leadership skills. Their programs create meaningful opportunities for students to explore their potential and see how their learning today can shape their future tomorrow.

Funny how the only school in attendance was assigned Table 67. Coincidence? Probably. Hilarious? Apparently so.

Thank you to JA Northern Alberta for a fantastic evening and for your continued commitment to inspiring young people across our province.
