Were you able to stop by our booth at Skills Alberta last week? 🙌 The EXPO Centre was packed with thousands of students, educators, and industry pros from across Alberta. The energy was unreal!
It was amazing meeting so many of you. And a huge shoutout to our 5 STEM Collegiate competitors who showed up and showed out in Robotics, Graphic Design, Public Speaking, Photography, Mechanical CAD, and Web Design & Development. We are so proud of you! 🏆✨

Last week, we were proud to be part of the Alberta Aviation, Aerospace & Defence Summit at the Edmonton Convention Centre.

Our high school Innovative Engineering students had the opportunity to showcase one of the incredible projects they have been creating, including work connected to aviation, drones, and real-world Arctic infrastructure challenges.

We are grateful for opportunities like this because they allow students to move beyond classroom theory and engage with authentic industry problems, technical feedback, and future career pathways.

Thank you to Alberta Aviation, Aerospace & Defence, Pegasus, UCan Brave Tech, and Scope AR for helping create meaningful connections between students, industry, and innovation.

This is exactly the kind of learning we are working to expand at STEM Collegiate: rigorous academics, hands-on design, industry connection, and meaningful opportunities for students to see where their skills can take them.

Representatives from a wide range of Alberta universities, colleges, polytechnics, and career pathway programs will be available to help students explore options, ask questions, and start thinking about future possibilities.

Reminder: Bus registration for the 2026-2027 school year closes this Friday, April 24, 2026.

If you would like your child to be considered for a bus stop, please log in to the Parent PowerSchool Portal and complete the transportation registration form.

Please note:
• A separate form must be completed for each child wishing to ride the bus.
• Registration is not complete until the required non-refundable deposit has been paid.

Routes will be developed based on registration numbers and may differ from this year depending on overall ridership.

Summer School registration is now open at STEM Collegiate.

This is a great opportunity for students entering Grades 10 to 12 in the 2026/27 school year to earn credits, create more flexibility in their timetable, and take part in focused summer learning in a supportive environment.

This year’s Summer School will run from July 2 to July 24 at STEM Collegiate.

Courses offered:
• Engineering Robotic Systems
• PE 10 / CALM
• Social Studies 20-1

We are especially excited to offer Engineering Robotic Systems in partnership with MacEwan University, giving students the chance to build practical technical skills through engaging, applied learning.

Please note:
• Registration deadline is June 1
• Spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis
• Summer School is open to both STEM Collegiate students and non-STEM students

Yesterday, our students had the opportunity to take part in World of Choices at STEM Collegiate, and it was an outstanding morning.

Students moved through multiple sessions, heard directly from professionals, and were encouraged to think seriously about the many different paths that can lead to meaningful work and a strong future. One of the best parts of the day was the range of careers represented. Students heard from people working in science, agriculture, film, communications, business, accounting, nonprofit organizations, environmental consulting, engineering, finance, psychology, and technology-driven fields.

Events like this matter because they help students connect school to the real world. They also remind students that there is no single path to success. There are many ways to build a career, make an impact, and find work that is meaningful.

Thank you to Junior Achievement and to all of the presenters who invested their time in our students. We are grateful for your willingness to share your experience and insight.
