Today we came together to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving with some of our Sign of Hope donors—a meaningful gathering filled with gratitude, fellowship, and shared purpose. A special thank you to Fr. Jim Corrigan, Vicar General of The Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton , for celebrating Mass with us.

Last week, our CSS team had the privilege of attending the annual Mission Collaborative Initiative. Over two days, participants explored the theme “Artificial Intelligence and the Catholic Church – Navigating the Philosophical, Theological, and Practical Dimensions.” Reflection on Pope Leo XIV’s latest encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas: On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence, grounded the conversations in faith and human dignity. Day 2 was especially meaningful for us, as two of our own took the stage. Eoin Murray, VP of Immigration and Settlement Services, delivered a compelling keynote on “Encountering Newcomers and AI,” while Dr. Theresa Zolner of our Mercy Counselling program spoke on “Loneliness in the Age of AI.” We are incredibly proud to see their leadership contributing to this important dialogue.
