We are a non-profit community-based centre, which has been providing services within the Glenora community since 1975. The Executive Director, with the support of the Board of Directors, administers the Child Care programs. The Board of Directors consists of parent volunteers whose children attend the Centre. Our mission is “Quality Care for a Quality future.” Glenora Child Care Society’s philosop

Our new kinders have settled in so well and are already finding their place in OSC! It was wonderful to have some of our older children here to welcome them, help them get acquainted with the space, and show them the ropes. They even joined together for a big game of Twister, with our older friends helping them problem-solve, figure out where to place their hands and feet, and learn their right from left!

As children begin to transition into their new rooms, visits have become an important way for them to feel comfortable and at ease before these changes take place. These visits give children opportunities to build relationships with older peers, become familiar with the new routines and expectations, and learn from the children already in the room. Through these experiences, children begin to develop a sense of belonging and confidence in their new environment. Their nurturing disposition also creates opportunities for children to take on leadership roles, support younger peers, and feel proud of the skills and knowledge they can share with others.

As we gear up for the big move, we want to take a moment to remember that there is beauty in change. Change brings new beginnings, new opportunities, and new adventures. As the children transition into their new spaces, we celebrate how much they have grown, learned, and blossomed along the way.

While saying goodbye to a familiar room can feel a little bittersweet, we are excited for all the new friendships, experiences, discoveries, and memories that await them. Here’s to embracing change, celebrating growth, and looking forward to the wonderful journey ahead!

The OSC’s favourite time is here; Scooter, Bike & Rollerblade Day! The children had so much fun showing off their skills and riding their favourite outdoor equipment. From scooters and bikes to rollerblades, everyone had a chance to zoom, balance, practice new skills, and enjoy the fresh air with their friends. It was a fun-filled day of movement, confidence, and lots of smiles!
