Bent Arrow is encouraging those who can vote to get out there and vote this week.

Advance voting has opened this week and is encouraged as on Oct 19th, lines are expected to be long and this may discourage people from staying to vote. We suggest you prepare for long wait times just in case.

A few weeks ago, Warriors Way hosted a culture camp with Elders, staff and program participants. It was a beautiful day spent with mother nature listening to our Elders, engaging in activities, and learning about gratitude and self-empowerment.

Our participants were engaged, open and courageous as they shared their thoughts in circle process. Many belly laughs and memories were made throughout the day. Thanks to our staff and Elders who made this camp possible. 🧡

We were grateful to welcome staff from the Canadian Red Cross who came to volunteer with us for the day as an act of Truth and Reconciliation.

Together they helped unload two truckloads of wood that will be used for our community sweats. They also received Medicine Teaching (sage) and helped clean the medicine.

We are thankful for their time, their willingness to learn, and the helping hands they shared with our community. 🧡

We hope to see you again soon!

On September 30th, our gymnasium was filled with a sea of orange as staff, dignitaries, and community members came together for a Time to Listen.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this important and sometimes difficult conversation. A special thank you to our guest speakers and storytellers for sharing their stories and creating space for reflection, learning, and healing.

Just because September 30th has passed doesn’t mean the orange shirt or the conversation needs to stop. Keep listening, keep learning, and keep the conversation going. 🧡
