September 11, 2001 was the largest single loss in the history of firefighters with 343 killed in the line of duty.

It is because of those losses we have chosen to honour our own service members, active and retired, on this day.

Thank you to all who braved the weather to be part of the uniformed march, our Edmonton Fire Honour Guard, Edmonton Firefighters Piping & Drumming Society 🇨🇦, those who played a part in the ceremony, and everyone who came and gave their support to the families and loved ones of the fallen firefighters and service members who served the City of Edmonton.

Remember the Fallen.
