The Sustainable Housing Initiative We are affordable housing pre-development experts and a leader in facilitating the development of affordable housing in rural communities.

Launched in 2015, the Sustainable Housing Initiative (SHI) is a division within the Rural Development Network (RDN) dedicated to the development of cost-effective, innovative, and sustainable housing within rural communities across Canada. The SHI has also developed a free guide (https://www.housingredefined.ca/guide) for any group/community to use to help streamline the process for affordable housing projects.
