Alberta Sees Largest Monthly Drop in Unemployment in Nearly 50 Years

Alberta is celebrating a major milestone — our province just recorded the biggest monthly drop in unemployment in almost five decades. According to Statistics Canada, unemployment fell from 8.4% in August to 6.5% in November, reflecting the strength of Alberta’s economy and the hard work of people across our province.

This momentum shows that Alberta’s job market is growing, opportunities are expanding, and confidence in our future continues to rise.
