If you’ve noticed traffic improvements along 104 Avenue, there’s a reason!

The City worked with Marigold to adjust traffic signal timing to improve traffic flow along the Valley Line West LRT corridor while continuing to balance pedestrian safety and nearby intersections.

Signal timing during construction is temporary and will continue to evolve as work progresses.

Heading out on the North Saskatchewan River this weekend? Plan for the unexpected 🚣

The Park Ranger Marine Unit came across two people stranded on a personal watercraft stranded on a personal watercraft in the middle of the river.

The riders had planned to have a friend bring tools to repair the watercraft. When those repairs were unsuccessful, the Marine Unit worked with the riders to make a plan to safely get the watercraft and everyone back to shore. It’s a good reminder that things don’t always go according to plan on the river.

Before you head out:
🌊 Check conditions
🦺 Bring the right safety equipment
📱 Let someone know your plans
🔧 Be prepared for unexpected problems

Enjoy the river, be prepared and make safety part of your plans. Learn more at edmonton.ca/RiverSafety
