Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) is essential to safe dental assisting practice.

Dental assistants have an important role in applying IPC principles, following clinic policies, identifying infection risks, and staying current with IPC standards and guidance.

Congratulations to Dr. Leigha Rock on her appointment as Chair of the Mike Petryk School of Dentistry - University of Alberta and Senior Associate Dean (Dental Affairs) at the University of Alberta.

Whether you’re a new dental assistant, returning to practice, or want a refresher, our Continuing Competence Program (CCP) workshops help you understand what the CCP is and how to participate.
