What does “being ready” look like in a real kitchen?

From our perspective, it means seeing students step into a professional kitchen with strong attitude, willingness to learn, and growing workplace readiness.

Through our partnership with Meals on Wheels, newcomer students gain hands-on experience in the Edmonton culinary industry, becoming part of a real hospitality environment where kitchen training meets real job readiness.

What stands out from the Meals on Wheels chefs is the students’ commitment, adaptability, and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced food industry setting.

This partnership is helping create real pathways into hospitality careers and newcomer employment in Canada, while strengthening local community impact in Edmonton nonprofit work.

Day one. New beginnings in our Culinary Skills Program. 🌍✨

Twelve students from different parts of the world have joined our culinary training and newcomer support program here in Edmonton, taking their first step into a new future through hands-on cooking skills training.

This first day orientation marks the start of their journey in career development, job skills training, and real experience in a professional kitchen environment.

They are building confidence, learning together, and preparing for careers in the kitchen while being supported by a community that believes in their potential.
