It was a fun way to explore their creativity, experiment with different textures, and discover how everyday items from nature can become something extraordinary! Way to go, Grade 3! 🌿

Last week in science, Ms. Brittney’s 3AB students got hands-on with Earth science by using graham crackers and frosting to model how Earth’s tectonic plates move!

The graham crackers represented the plates, while the frosting acted as the softer layer beneath them. Students explored how plates can push together, pull apart, and slide past one another to better understand the forces that shape our planet.

The best part? This science experiment doubled as a delicious treat! Learning about Earth has never been so sweet! 🌎

Mrs. Johnston’s Grade 1 students got creative this Thanksgiving by making their very own Spoons of Thanks! They decorated wooden spoons with their own creative touches, turning each one into a special keepsake to celebrate the season of gratitude.

This meaningful activity encourages students to reflect on the things they are thankful for and gives families a fun new tradition to enjoy around the Thanksgiving table. 🦃

Mrs. Hagler’s Grade 5 students have been putting their place-value skills to the test! Yesterday, they worked in groups to build numbers based on different challenges, exploring concepts such as even and odd numbers, place value up to 10 million, and comparing numbers using greater than and less than.

Once their numbers were created, the class came together for one final challenge: working as a team to arrange themselves in order from least to greatest!

What a great way to bring math to life through teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on learning! Way to go, Grade 5!

This week, our Kindergarten students enjoyed reading Ann McGovern’s Stone Soup, a heartwarming story that teaches the importance of sharing and working together.

Inspired by the tale, each student brought in an ingredient to contribute to their very own classroom stone soup! Everyone helped make the soup, and the best part was enjoying the delicious results together. 😋
