Our Lost & Found is filling up already!👟🧤🧢

We have a collection of sweaters, shoes. hats, jackets, lunch containers, water bottles, and other items looking for their owners.

Families are encouraged to take a look and see if anything belongs to your child. Let the office know and we will make sure it goes home.

Please remember to label all of your child’s belongings to help us return lost items to the right person! We appreciate toys , electronics. umbrellas and cherished items being kept at home.

Let’s help these items find their way back home! 💜 🐾

Today Mrs. Bonhomme and Mme. Wellwood welcomed Bill Montgomery into their classrooms to teach students about Indigenous culture, traditions and ceremonies. The students had the opportunity to learn about the Medicine Wheel, the Thanksgiving Address, Sweat Lodge and even got to learn about and participate in a smudging ceremony! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the traditional stories shared, and learning about the Haida culture. We are so thankful for this opportunity. 🧡

South Crosby is so lucky to have such an amazing Breakfast Club 🥚🥣🥝🍇🍌🍎🧀 !

Our wonderful volunteers prepared our first hot breakfast of egg and cheese sandwiches on Wednesday and they were a huge hit!

Yesterday, our fantastic Thursday Breakfast Club crew assembled delicious veggie and fruit trays with dip to hand out to classrooms.

We couldn't do any of this without our amazing volunteers! If you're interested in joining this awesome group, please reach out to the school at 613-359-5933.

🔥 Fire Prevention Week at South Crosby! 🚒

We had a great visit from our local firefighters today! Students had the opportunity to learn about fire safety, meet some of the people who help keep our community safe, and practise what to do during a fire drill at school.

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!” ⚡

We’re reminding students and families about a few important charging safety tips:
🔌 Use the charger and cord that came with your device or one approved by the manufacturer.
🏠 Charge devices on a hard, flat surface—not on beds, couches, or under pillows.
⚡ Unplug devices when they are fully charged and avoid leaving them plugged in longer than needed.

Today, our students enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast of egg sandwiches—a wonderful way to fuel up and start the school day!

A huge thank you to all of our amazing community partners who support our Breakfast Club through generous donations, and to the wonderful volunteers who give their time to set up, prepare, and serve breakfast for our students.
