🚵 Volunteers & Riders Wanted for the 2026 Dufour DH/Enduro MTB Race! 🚵
Join us July 11–12, 2026 at Mount Dufour Ski Area for an exciting weekend of downhill and enduro mountain bike racing hosted by the Elliot Lake Cross Country Ski & Bike Club!
We’re looking for both volunteers and rider participants to help make this community event a huge success. Expect challenging trails, great people, and an unforgettable atmosphere with riders from across the region.

🙌 Volunteer Roles Include:
• Bartenders
• Shuttle Drivers
• First Aid
• General Event Volunteers
🥪 All volunteers receive a bagged lunch during the event weekend.

The City would like to remind residents that all City buildings and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 18th for the Victoria Day holiday.

City Transit as well as the City Landfill will also be closed.

Public works can be reached at 705-915-0357 to report emergency issues such as Water Main or Sewage Line breaks.

Join us for Stargazing in the Park throughout the Summer in Mississagi Provincial Park!

Our first Astronomy Night of the summer will be taking place on Saturday, May 16th at 9pm under the New Moon in Mississagi Park, north of Elliot Lake.
Gather with your fellow astronomy fans to learn about celestial events, followed by a shared listening and stargazing experience in Mississagi Park.

Remember to bring a chair or a ground mat, a warm hat, layered clothes, your favorite headphones and a snack. Park Entry Fees will still apply.

Please note that these are night time activities and weather dependent. All dates are approximate, with last minute time and date adjustments possible in order to accommodate clear viewing.
