Proud to co-host ministers from across Canada alongside Minister Julie Dabrusin in Toronto to discuss conservation, biodiversity and investing in nature.

From discussions on nature investments to a visit to Outer Harbour Marina for a fishing excursion along Lake Ontario, today was a reminder of what we’re working to protect.

Today, I joined Minister Sam Oosterhoff and PA Paul Vickers, MPP at Martin’s Apples to announce a $22.5 million investment to help Ontario’s agri-food businesses grow, develop new products and reach new markets.

Kitchener–Conestoga is home to many hardworking farmers and food producers, and this investment will support the growth of Nith River Milling Inc, Heidelburg Foods, Martins Family Fruit Farm, and Beck's Broth.

The Highway 7 expansion from Kitchener to Guelph will create shorter, safer commutes for hardworking people, and support the long-term growth of our local economy.

On September 30th, across Ontario and Canada, we mark the sixth National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

Today, and everyday, we honour Survivors of Indian Residential Schools, their families and communities, and remember the children who never came home.

It is a time to reflect on the history and lasting impacts of the Indian Residential School system, honour Indigenous voices and reaffirm our commitment to reconciliation by working together in true partnership.

Our government invested $4.1 million to strengthen primary care across Waterloo Region, including at Woolwich Community Health Centre (WCHC) right here in Kitchener–Conestoga.

Since then, WCHC has connected 2,978 people to primary care, helping more people in our community access the care they need, closer to home.

Today, we’re building on that progress by connecting 600,000 more Ontarians to primary care through our $3.4 billion Primary Care Action Plan, as we work to connect everyone in Ontario by 2029.
