Recently delivered to Elmsdale Fire & Emergency Services Association.

Designed around the department's operational requirements, this custom Metalfab tanker is built to support dependable water delivery, efficient fireground operations, and long-term reliability.

Built on a Spartan Metro Star chassis, this apparatus features a 2,200 Imperial gallon polypropylene water tank, 1,250 IGPM Hale midship pump, tandem axle configuration, extensive hose storage, multiple discharge and intake options, advanced scene lighting, and a layout tailored to help crews work safely and efficiently in a variety of response situations.

Every detail was designed in collaboration with the department to support the way its firefighters operate today while providing reliable performance for years to come.

For training this week our members got a chance to check out Lantz Volunteer Fire Department’s new quint. It was a great opportunity to see their equipment and climb the aerial, thanks to lantz for bringing the truck down!

Earlier this week we hosted a local girl guides group where they got a chance to tour the trucks, check out some of our gear, spray a fire hose and get a lesson on CPR from an Emergency Health Services - EHS paramedic.

We extend our deepest condolences to FF. Uichita’s family and the members of Bridgetown Fire Department as they mourn the loss of one of their own in the line of duty.

Last weekend, 15 members from East Hants Fire Service along with three members from Stewiacke, completed their Basic Fire Fighting course with their fire control weekend. These members put in well over 100 hours of weekend time to complete this course to become interior firefighters.

We were proud to present 3 of our own members; FF. Selina Smith, FF. Tom Bond and FF. Dawson Smith with their certificates and yellow helmets at our business meeting last week, officially making them interior firefighters.
