We are into the final stretch of our EDS read-a-thon! As a school, we are just over 92,000 minutes of reading which is an incredible accomplishment! Students in Mme. Gamble, Ms. DeCoste, and Mme. Damsteegt’s class have a slim lead in their Grade bands and we are so excited to see what tomorrow brings.

A huge thank you to our Home & School, to the parent volunteers who have been counting each day, to everyone who has donated, and to our amazing EDS staff! Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.

Registration Reminder!

If your child is eligible for Pre-Primary or Primary for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, please stop by the school to complete registration anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Having registrations in as soon as possible helps us plan staffing, class placements, and supports to ensure a strong start for every student.

Over the past two weeks at EDS, students have been immersed in all things Olympics — exploring geography, learning about different sports and athletes, discovering traditions from around the world, and celebrating the true meaning of sportsmanship. Through engaging stories, writing activities, special Phys Ed events, and creative art projects, learning has been active, hands-on, and fun!

To wrap up our Olympic celebrations, we’re inviting students to dress in red and white — or in the colours of their assigned class country — as we come together to celebrate. Students will also have the opportunity to catch part of the men’s semifinal Canada vs. Finland hockey game.
