Service Notice❗

We will be completing a water repair at 6 Boyd Ave in Enfield on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Estimated completion time is around 4:30pm.

Traffic control will be on site, reducing traffic to one lane. A one-hour period of reduced water pressure is possible for a few homes on 105 and 107 Alderney Dr. and 1 through 26 Boyd Ave.

Please use caution in the area and be mindful of pedestrians and work crews.

What can a municipal grant make possible? Quite a lot! 💙

In 2025/2026, the Municipality provided $1,469,442 through our grant programs and community supports. This helped fund trail maintenance, recreation facility upgrades, beautification projects, food banks, tourism and heritage initiatives, volunteer fire departments, emergency response organizations, youth programs, and athlete travel.

It also supported individuals and families through programs like the Municipal Tax Assistance Program and Recreation Access program.

Together, these investments help strengthen communities and support the people, places and programs that make East Hants thrive.

Illegal dumping is on the rise. While we appreciate residents helping to keep the community looking its best, here are the things to do if you see an illegal dumpsite:

1️⃣ Don’t touch it – for both your safety and to ensure staff can conduct a thorough investigation and coordinate clean-up.

2️⃣ Report it – use our Waste Wizard app or website to quickly and conveniently report the site at easthants.ca/wastewizard

When in doubt, you can also contact the Solid Waste Hotline at 1-888-873-3332.

Public Information Meeting – Planning Proposals 📢

We are hosting a Public Information Meeting to share information and hear questions and comments from residents about three planning proposals:

• Lantz Mapping Amendments – Proposed changes to allow approximately 24 townhouse units.
• Large Developments – Proposed policy requiring developments with more than 100 units to have two access points.
• Places of Worship & Cemeteries – Proposed changes to allow places of worship or former places of worship to be subdivided from cemeteries with reduced requirements.

Update Aug 26th - This lovely lady is in the custody of the municipality and at this time we do not have any further information.

Are you missing me??

This sweet girl was found running on the highway near Stewiacke.

She appears to have recently had a litter of puppies. not microchipped.

She will be here in clinic until 5pm, after which she will be taken to the Municipal Kennel.
