TC Energy will be conducting blowdowns as part of a maintenance project between April 13-21, 2026, between 8am and 8pm. A blowdown is the act of releasing natural gas from the pipeline system so work can be done safely on a depressurized facilities.

This project could increase noise and traffic at the facilities. Location area shown on the map (NE 33-16-18 W2M)

Eligibility to access strychnine under the emergency registration has been approved to support the integrated pest management of Richardson’s ground squirrels in Saskatchewan.

For the 2026 growing season, strychnine is expected to be available for late summer application.

Additional program details will be shared on the RM of Edenwold website, on social media, and via Voyent Alert once product manufacturing timelines are confirmed. We will also notify producers if the product becomes available before the spring application window closes.

Discretionary Use Application: Intensive Livestock Operation (ILO) 10347 Grid Road 624, NW 28-19-18 W2M (Darian Farms)

Intended Discretionary Use: To allow for the gradual expansion of an existing dairy farm ILO from 740 animal units (AU) to 1,775 AU as per Section 5.30 of Zoning Bylaw 2019-20 and all relevant Ministry of Agriculture requirements.

A livestock operation is defined as intensive if the livestock confinement space per animal unit is less than 370 m² (4,000 ft²). The applicant currently operates a dairy farm on the site and has approval for 740 AU. They are proposing an expansion of their infrastructure to eventually accommodate up to 1,500 dairy cows (1,775 AU).

Public Hearing: Council will hold a public hearing to receive submissions, written or verbal, on the discretionary use at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the Council Chambers of the R.M. of Edenwold No.158, 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, Saskatchewan. Written submissions will be presented to Council and can be sent by mail, email or dropped off at the RM Office. We want to hear from YOU - Surveys were mailed out to RM ratepayers over three weeks ago. You can always drop by the RM office to get one.

You could win golfing passes for Aspen Links Clubhouse and Rec Room - plus other prizes too. Prizes will be drawn randomly and published on the RM website on April 20th. Survey respondents must be 18 or older to qualify for the draw.

We received some great feedback from the Divisional Boundary Open House last night, where early feedback has indicated that the RM should consider an option that reduces the number of councillors from 7 to 6, as well as creating divisions with communities of interest.

We will continue to take in all ratepayer feedback to consider all options (or changes to an existing option) for presentation to council for their consideration.

Therefore, we are happy to add Option D to the RM website today. We look forward to receiving additional feedback from the community and will continue to consolidate all feedback for Council to consider.

Option D is live now on our website. Add your comments to the survey based on all four options provided.

Your feedback will help us evaluate boundary options and understand ratepayer priorities. If you didn’t make it to the Open House on April 1st, you can still take part by completing our online survey.
