La Brash Cottage

La Brash Cottage La Brash Cottage is located in Kearney, ON on the Magnetawan River. It has 2 bedrooms, a fully equi La Brash Cottage was built in 1896 by the Mann Family.

It was originally an ice house. When Mr. Mann's son married they had a "barn raising" and converted it into a home for the newlyweds. It is named after the La Brash family who later owned the property and raised their family in the house alongside Poplar Point where our family grew and prospered. We are not able to spend as much time as we would like at La Brash Cottage so it is available to rent

on a weekly basis. It is available year round. The cottage is located on the Magnetawan River near the Southwest entrance to Algonquin Park with access to Tim and Rain Lake. The area is filled with outdoor activities. Close by is the library and community center which house the Park Offices and Senior Center. There is an LCBO, dry good store, a legion and restaurants all in walking distance. We provide a motor boat and canoe to those with the proper license and safety equipment.

The LaBrash cottage is ready and waiting for you to and join us this summer. Bookings available as of June 14th We book weekly for $1200/week.
There are 2 bedrooms and 4 piece bathroom as well as a fully outfitted kitchen. You will have access to a canoe 2 and kayaks for your enjoyment.
The cottage is on the Magnetawan River navigable for 3 miles to the east and west. We are close to 3 access points into Algonquin Park: Tim River, Rain Lake and Magnetawan Lake.
