Come on out to the Enderby & District Fire Department's open house on October 17, from 10 to 1 (after you vote, of course!). Check out the fire hall and trucks, meet our firefighters and other emergency responders, keep the kiddos engaged with activities, and much more (did we mention lunch?!).

Notice of Hydrant Flow Testing

Start Date: October 14, 2026
End Date: October 23, 2026

Routine fire hydrant flow testing is continuing across the City of Enderby drinking water system. Flow testing is critical for validating distribution system performance during fireflow situations.

What residents need to know:
• During this period, residents may notice temporary changes in water pressure and water discolouration. These effects are normal and short-lived.
• Water cloudiness can occur when high-velocity flow testing stirs up naturally occurring mineral sediments in the water mains.

Recommendations:
• If discolouration occurs, run your cold water taps for a few minutes or until the water runs clear.
• Flush toilets if sediment has settled in the tank.

Emergency Water Main Repair

Brickyard Road and Pleasant Avenue

Update 12:35pm - The emergency repair has been completed. All affected properties should now have water service. If you notice air or discolouration, please flush your cold water taps and toilets until the water runs clear. Thank you for your patience.

October 2, 2026 - Public Works is repairing an emergency water main break this morning. To complete the work safely, water service will be shut off from 9:30 am until approximately 12:00 pm (noon) today.

Affected properties include those along Brickyard Road and Pleasant Avenue, as shown in yellow on the attached map.

When service is restored, residents may notice temporary air or discolouration in their lines. This is normal - run cold water tap and flush toilets until the water runs clear.

Thank you for your patience, and please drive carefully around the work site.

Notice of Hydrant Maintenance and Flow Testing

Routine fire hydrant maintenance is underway across the City of Enderby drinking water system. The 2026 program will also include flow-testing, which is critical for validating distribution system performance during fireflow situations.

This essential maintenance program is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to ensure that the water distribution system and fire hydrants are fully operational for community fire protection.
