Water Sample Bottles Now Available!

Water sample bottles are now available for pickup at the Municipal Office at 45 Main Street in Erickson Manitoba.

Residents requiring a bottle for water testing are welcome to stop by the office during regular business hours to pick one up.

Bottles are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be distributed while supplies last.

Thank you for your patience as we prepare the lagoon system to accept truck-dumped wastewater from holding tanks.

We have submitted an application to the Public Utilities Board for approval of a $50 fee, which is intended to recover the costs the Erickson Utility will incur by accepting trucked wastewater. Council has passed a resolution stating that until this fee is approved, rural residents of the municipality may use the lagoon free of charge.

Keys to the lagoon gate have now been provided to our resident wastewater haulers, and we are ready to begin operating on a trial basis. We will be monitoring lagoon levels closely and managing the system actively, as the Erickson lagoon was not designed to serve the full population of the municipality.

This is a temporary measure to provide relief to rural residents while we continue working on a long‑term solution that will benefit not only our municipality but the broader region. We will continue to share updates as this work progresses.
