Community Living Essex County Community Living Essex County envisions a society where everyone belongs, has equality, respect and acceptance.

Since 1961 Community Living Essex County, a non-profit, registered charitable organization has been committed to assisting people of all ages who have an intellectual disability and their families throughout Essex County. The gifts, uniqueness and innate value of each person is celebrated, supported and acknowledged as essential to the completeness of the whole community. We help the community develop its capacity to welcome and support people who have not always had equal opportunities to participate in community life in meaningful, productive ways. Over 700 employees and many dedicated volunteers join together to provide quality supports and inspire opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities of all ages across Essex County. John loves Halloween and recently enjoyed visiting Thiessen Apple Orchards to celebrate fall. He enjoyed taking in all the fall fun, and spending time with others in his community. It was also a great opportunity for John to step outside his comfort zone and build his confidence with trying something new. Way to go, John!

Last month, Ryan enjoyed a morning walk around the Ruthven Apple Festival at Colasanti's Tropical Gardens. He had a nice time connecting with all the vendors and people. He can’t wait to return next year!
