This week, we proudly join communities across Canada in recognizing National Police Week, May 10–16, 2026. EPS extends sincere thanks to the officers and staff whose dedication and efforts help make our shared vision — “Together, a Stronger and Safer Community” — a reality.

The Estevan Police Service is advising the public of a scheduled training exercise taking place today, May 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m.

The exercise will occur in a large area of Estevan, between 2nd Avenue and Alice Road, and from 4th Street down to 1st Street.

This is part of the Service’s annual training. During this time, members of the public may notice an increased police presence, including uniformed officers, police vehicles with emergency lights activated, and a police K-9 unit. Some officers and the K-9 may be on foot in the area.

This is a training scenario only. There is no risk to the public.
