At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the guns of the First World War finally fell silent. After years of tragedy, peace began to take hold across Europe.

The City of Estevan continues our commitment to acknowledge those lost while representing our country, as well as those who continue to serve, by refreshing our commemorative crossing at 4th Street and 11th Avenue.

Thank you for your service 🇨🇦

This week you'll notice a fresh coat of paint is going on our commemorative crosswalks.

The design for this crosswalk, at 4th Street and 14th Avenue, was first installed last year and is to honour the First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities that played a founding role in the establishment and growth of our community.

Located on Treaty 4 Territory, traditional lands of the Nêhiyawak (Cree), Nahkawé (Saulteaux) and Nakota and homeland of the Métis, Dakota and Lakota, the City of Estevan is proud to honour the Indigenous communities across our region, province and country.

On June 17th, the cleanest fight in Southeast Saskatchewan returns, when we take on our sister city, City of Weyburn, and defend our win!

⛈️ The perfect start to the day! All this rain will go a long way greening up and showing off the cleanup efforts of our community! 🌻🌸

Thanks Daniel for the chance to stop by this morning and talk about the upcoming Golden Garbage Can Competition happening June 17th!
