**Bow River Advisory – DMF, LDA, and Exshaw area**

A **High Streamflow Advisory** (By the Provincial Government) has been issued for the **Bow River from Banff to Ghost Reservoir**, including the Exshaw area.

Recent warm temperatures and ongoing snowmelt are causing water levels to rise throughout the Bow Valley. Current forecasts indicate river levels will continue to increase through the weekend, with an additional rise expected as warm weather persists. Minor flooding in low-lying areas near the river remains possible.

**Residents and visitors are reminded to:**
• Stay clear of fast-moving water and riverbanks.
• Keep children and pets well back from the river.
• Avoid low-lying pathways and areas that may become flooded.
• Use caution when recreating near the Bow River.
• Never attempt to enter or cross swift-moving water.

While major flooding is not currently expected, conditions can change quickly during spring runoff. MD of Bighorn Emergency Services will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as required.

Please use caution around all waterways this weekend and enjoy the outdoors safely.
