Please be advised that all three truck fill stations are temporarily out of service until further notice.
We also ask all Co-op water users to conserve water and limit usage over the next few days while reservoir levels recover. Water storage levels at all three stations have been significantly depleted, and conservation efforts will help restore normal operating levels as quickly as possible.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

More Than Forms: Bridging The 10 Steps of Volunteer Screening

Volunteer screening is more than completing forms—it’s an important process that connects people with meaningful volunteer roles while enhancing the safety and quality of programs and services delivered in communities.

This session explores Volunteer Canada’s 10 Steps of Screening through a relationship-based lens, highlighting how screening begins before recruitment and continues throughout the volunteer journey. Designed for volunteer-engaging organizations of all sizes, this session provides clear guidance to strengthen screening practices, reduce risk, support engagement, and uphold ethical responsibilities to the communities we serve.

To support scheduling flexibility, we are pleased to offer five identical sessions. Please register for the session that works best for you:

Age Friendly E-News

June 15 marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), a global initiative established in 2006 by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and recognized by the World Health Organization to raise awareness and take action to prevent elder abuse. WEAAD is a reminder that we all share a responsibility to protect the safety, dignity and well-being of older adults.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of WEAAD and highlights the theme: The Power of Connection: Breaking Isolation, Preventing Abuse and Growing the Conversation.

Staying connected with others plays a key role in preventing elder abuse. You can help by checking in with others, learning to recognize the signs of abuse, and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.

We encourage you to get involved by:

Learning more about elder abuse and how to prevent it
Sharing information with your networks
Supporting or hosting community events
The Alberta Elder Abuse https://www.alberta.ca/get-help-elder-abuse Awareness Council (AEAAC) has developed a toolkit to support individuals and communities in raising awareness. Access it here. https://trk.cp20.com/click/cfmv-318ng6-f8xz6w-9cmv4g81/
By working together, we can help prevent elder abuse, reduce isolation, and support older adults to live safely and confidently in their communities.

Need support?
