Celebrate the start of Summer Reading with a colourful outdoor StoryWalk at the Hillsburgh Branch!

'Colette: The Solitary Bee', written by Jean-François Sénéchal and illustrated by Pascale Bonenfant, follows Colette as she learns that while independence is wonderful, friendship can make life even sweeter. This charming story is perfect for children ages 3 and up.

Visit the Hillsburgh Branch anytime this summer to enjoy the story at your own pace. It's a great destination for a family outing.

Join us tomorrow as we step into summer with TD Summer Reading Club registration! One book = one ballot for amazing prize baskets at your local branch. Kids 0-12 can pick up their free kit and kickoff sticker, while supplies last, and readers of every age are invited to start counting. Ballot submissions open Monday, June 29 both in person and online.

As the heat builds up, a reminder that all Wellington County Library branches are cooling and clean air centres for our communities.

Look for us on the ClimateSafe Cooling, Warming and Clean Air Spaces Map from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health and come in to stay cool and hydrated, especially during an extreme heat event.

Let's stay safe this summer!

The ClimateSafe Map helps residents find publicly accessible spaces that can provide temporary relief during periods of extreme heat, extreme cold, wildfire smoke and poor air quality.

Recently, a little birdie mistakenly thought the Clifford Branch library offered drive-thru window service. Sadly for the bird, he had forgotten his library card at home, so he had to wing it elsewhere. We said we could set aside anything he wanted for next time!
